Kicking Goals with God June 08

On Sunday, I was playing my first game of under 13’s footy since breaking my fingers and was feeling nervous about playing. I got Dean to pray for me and he asked me how I would like the match to go. I said a couple of goals would be awesome and not to hurt my fingers again.We prayed for complete healing of my fingers so I can bend them without them feeling stiff and for a great game with lots of praise back to God.

I left for footy at 11.15 and was definitely not as nervous.

Mum and dad turned up at the end of the first quarter, after being at church, to see me kicking my second goal.  After the second goal I could not stop thanking God.YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!  After my fourth goal I couldn’t believe it. After my fifth goal I was like WOAH!!!!  God REALLY showed up and then I bagged my sixth at the end of the last quarter.  Before that game, the most goals I had ever got in a game was three.

On Tuesday, at training, my coach told me that he had never coached someone who has kicked six goals in a game. I had ended up scoring half of the teams points and my fingers didn’t hurt at all!!!.
